BMW 645Ci Convertible
BMW has yet to announce UK prices for the 6-Series cabrio, but expect to pay about £5,000 more than you would for the equivalent tin-top.
That's a lot of money - but if you've got it and you want to flaunt it, then it's the only option. The 645Ci Convertible is set to become one of this summer's hottest properties, and adds even more strength to the impressive 6-Series range.

BMW 650i Sport
With the optional Dynamic Drive active roll bars delivering excellent body control and the V8 offering such a spread of usable performance, the 650i is a tremendous all-round performance machine.
The all-new X5 is grabbing the headlines, but the 4.8-litre V8 engine that stars in the SUV’s engine line-up also sees action in the 5 and 6-Series.

BMW 635d Sport
Five years after the engine’s launch, BMW has finally slotted its superb twin-turbo 3.0-litre diesel into the 6-Series coupé, creating the world’s first oil-burning luxury Grand Tourer.
Rival: Mercedes CLS320 CDI
While it’s not strictly a two-door coupé, Mercedes’ ultra-stylish CLS is also available with a strong diesel. The 224bhp 3.0-litre V6 isn’t as powerful, clean (200g/km) or efficient (37.2mpg) as the BMW, but it is significantly cheaper, costing £43,957.

BMW 6-Series 635d GTs
Price: £50,895 - £82,685
The 635d has a straight-six twin-turbo 3.0-litre turbodiesel that’s hard to fault. It offers even more torque than the V10 M6, and there’s no arguing with 0-60mph in a mighty 5.7 seconds.
On the road, it feels extremely fast, especially in kickdown. However, it’s the effortless nature with which it gains speed that really impresses, while the engine remains unruffled even when pushed hard. Through corners, the BMW continues to impress. There’s lots of grip, the steering has good feedback and it remains composed. However, this involvement does lead to a firm ride and a surprising amount of road noise. It’s not comfortable enough to be a true GT.
